John Phillip Stamos is an American role player and musician. He is nearly known for his piece of work in television, especially for his starring function as Jesse Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom Full House. Since the show's finale in 1995, Stamos has appeared in numerous Television films and series. Early life
Stamos was built-in in Cypress, California to Loretta Phillips, a one-time swimsuit model who was raised in England and was of Irish and English ancestry, and Neb Stamos, a restaurateur of Greek descent. He is the oldest child, having two younger sisters, Janeen and Alaina, who are both teachers. His family unit's original final name was "Stamotopoulos", just his paternal grandparents shortened it to "Stamos" later on coming to the United States from Greece.
He attended John F. Kennedy Loftier School in La Palma, California.
Personal life
Stamos began dating model Rebecca Romijn in 1994 after coming together at a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in which she was modeling. The couple got engaged on Christmas Eve of 1997 and became married on September 19, 1998 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. In Apr 2004, they announced their separation, and Stamos filed for divorce shortly afterward in August. The divorce became final on March 1, 2005.
On June 12, 2015, Stamos was arrested in Beverly Hills and subsequently charged with driving under the influence. The following calendar month he entered a residential rehab center for substance corruption.
Career
1982–86: Early career
Stamos began his interim career with the role of Blackie Parrish on the soap opera General Hospital in late January 1982, for which he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 1984. That April, he went on to the lead role in the brusque-lived CBS sitcom Dreams, in which he played an aspiring musician in a ring of the same name.
